[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SPEF relies heavily on the talent and contributions of volunteers to fulfill our mission to deliver educational programs and resources that elevate student, educator, and parent success in the Stamford Public Schools.

Each year, we recruit over 500 volunteers to support K-12 students in our mentoring, tutoring and literacy programs. You can make a difference in the life of a child in our community by joining our #SPEFsquad.

We offer volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups and corporate partners that range from done-in-a-day activities to ongoing programs and campaigns.

As we respond to the unique and urgent needs created by the impact of COVID-19 in our community, we modified our volunteer opportunities to promote safety and social distancing. There are many ways for you to help, including in-person and virtually.

The ongoing opportunities in the Stamford Mentoring Program and Home Work Helpers are open to adults 18+ with a high school diploma. Our done-in-a-day activities are family friendly and revolve around events like Books Across Stamford and US Day.

For teams of friends, classmates or colleagues looking to make collective impact, we offer ongoing volunteer opportunities like adopt-a-school via the Traditional Mentoring component of the Stamford Mentoring Program.

Done-in-a-day activities, like kit-packing for a classroom and book distribution at Books Across Stamford, are great team-building activities. We are proud to partner with several corporate donors to deliver engaging employee volunteer programs. SPEF designs custom, turnkey programs for corporate partners who want to activate and leverage their workforce for impact beyond their headquarters.
